Camouflage T Shirt

Every time I see a camouflage t shirt I think of the clothing styles that were popular in the 1980’s. So many women wore kaki pants and army clothing as high fashion in the early part of the decade. The popularity of this kind of outfit may be due to the popular movie Private Benjamin starring the adorable Goldie Hawn.
The cute actress may have been the inspiration for the army style clothes emerging on the scene and this style may be coming back in the form of the camouflage t shirt. These items are sneaky by nature and difficult to detect at first but they are really coming on the fashion scene in full force.
My husband recently purchased a camouflage t shirt that has “Ha! Now you can’t see me!” He is so delighted with the clever shirt that he wears it just about everywhere. It is one of his “dress-up” tees that he saves for special occasions like Saturdays and any time we go out in public.
His doctor didn’t help matters at all when she laughed at the funny camouflage t shirt saying that many people wouldn’t get the irony. After I explained what irony means my husband added that the camouflage t shirt was very special since the doctor took the time to make such an astute observation about the simple attire.
I have to admit that this is one of my favorite clothing items that my husband owns so I really don’t make a fuss. However, I get a little nervous when he brings home the occasional camouflage t shirt for our daughter. The design wasn’t a problem. It’s the fact that people comment on my adorable little boy when she wears that kind of stuff.
Fortunately, I came across an adorable design in toddler tees that both of us can appreciate. I bought a pink camouflage t shirt for my daughter. There are matching pants that accompany the item and the outfit is so very cute that it makes you want to hug my daughter when she is wearing it.
Now my husband is trying to find a pink camouflage t shirt for me. I’m glad that there are none made for adult women as of yet. I really had enough of this style during my teenage years. I don’t mind others wearing the gear but I wore enough in 1982 to last the rest of my lifetime.
